I have 2 positions near the coast of NC. We are looking for an MD that can do both general and Cardiac  cases. This is not a super busy Cardiac practice, yet must be Cardiac capable. The facility is doing about 1 cardiac case a week, on average about 70 cases per year.  Compensation is 565k per year with 6 weeks off. MD’s are primary call with CRNA back up. Call rotation is 1:3. We have an entire pool of PRN providers for schedule vacation coverage as well.

This is about 60 miles from Wilmington and about 35 miles from Fayetteville.  This is a 1099 perm position, meaning that you are required to provider your own medical malpractice insurance and your own healthcare benefits. We have a broker that we contract with for Medical Protective insurance and if you join our group, you can qualify for discounts with us. This position requires that the MD be cardiac capable, meaning that they are doing at least 1 cardiac case per week here. On average per year about 70 cardiac cases.

The hospital has a surgical volume of about 4200 cases with 1100 births. They also have just inherited all the Endo cases from the surgery center which averages about 150 per year. The staffing model for the hospital consists of 3 MDs and 6-7 CRNAs daily, Monday-Friday.  One of the providers will be available to cover OB. An anesthesiologist will cover first call.  Call ratio is 1:3 weekday and weekend. You will have CRNA back up either 1 or 2 CRNA’s at all times. Compensation is 565k with 6 weeks’ vacation to use at your discretion. We provider your vacation coverage at no cost to you, as we have a PRN pool of providers that will be credentialed at the facility as well.

Please let me know if you are interested in this opportunity by sending me a copy of your CV for presentation. If so, I would like to have our CMO give you a call to discuss further with you.

I also have the following cardiac opportunities coming up.

  • Cardiac position in VA and SC in the next 60 days. Cardiac volume is between 125-135 cases per year.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I hope you hear from you soon.
